On the Work
Wax-laden oil on birch panel. Built up in seven sittings between soundchecks at a residency in Marfa, then finished cold in the Brooklyn studio.
The surface has been deliberately scarred and re-melted — the way a tape loop wears itself thin from being played one too many times.
